Default File API on Blackberry curve

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to use the file api on 8330 and 8320 simulators. The File.isSupported() call returns false. But I have my application successfully running on 7520 which is very much obsolete now. I don't understand why the later models would remove this file support. Or is it that I am doing something wrong. My application has to use Blackberry's java File api. Any idea any body?

Thanks
Mouli.
