Question Device-to-Device Communication

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Is it possible for a device contacts another? Like the PIN Messenger which possibly uses peer-to-peer connection (CMIIW).

Okay, this is the scenario.
A Blackberry user wants to play a two-player game with his friend (you know, he has a blackberry too). Then firstly, he open the "Invitation" screen, enter the PIN number, then contacting the hand-held. If it approves, they can proceed to the game, otherwise destroy the connection.

That's what i mean. Is it possible to implement in blackberry?

Hi, thanks for your answer.
I found Tic Tac Toe demo in the RIM's samples folder which is a two-player game.
It uses BlackberryMessenger API such as Session, Service, SessionSetupListener, SessionRequestListener and MessengerContact.
A player will invite another to join the game by selecting a contact from a Blackberry Messenger contact list.

Then immediately i and my friend installed the game in our hand-held.
Unfortunately i failed to play the game with him. My Blackberry Messenger received an invitation from him, but with error message : "You've received an invitation that has no handler associated with it".
I didn't make any change to the code. But why my BBM said there's no handler for the invitation? Did i miss something?

I don't know, never looked at the Tick Tack Toe sample application. Buy you are on the right track, that is one way to manage device to device communications.
