Default Popup screen in main BlackBerry Menu

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to display a popup screen while being in the BlackBerry application menu.

I explain the app : my app makes treatements silently (goes to seek datas in memory). If the data is not set in memory, the app displays a popupscreen which asks to enter the data manually.

So : I click on the app in the BlackBerry apps menu, it displays a popup screen : is it possible? Or does it need first a main screen in the app to have a real area to draw on?

Thanks for answers

It is possible to pop up a Dialog without having first displayed a Screen.

You can create a dialog extending PopupScreen, then push this dialog "global-modal".

Ok, a good base, i'm now sure I wasn't working for nothing even if nothing was displaying :p. Anyway, I have to change of Screen type, I talked to my leader, and finally I must do it with a MainScreen so it's OK.

I'll look later for the PopupScreen but thank you for answers.

(Just remain for me to find out the way to do it)
