Unhappy Coding Issues

I have been using the following code to lauch an company intranet:

This code works well on all OSs but the 4.5.X.X for the new curve.

The issue is the icon will launch the "mobile.companyportal.com" upon first installation, you click on the icon the portal launches and gives you the site; however on additional tries the site will not launch via the icon. You can see that the BB is pulling the site info because the arrows are working on the upper right hand corner; however, the browser does not open.

You can go to the default "browser" and once you click and open the "companyportal" landing page is available. Does anyone know how to fix?
