Why do you need an array of edit fields? When you add an EditField to a Screen, the screen maintains a list of all of your EditFields (or any fields, for that matter).

If you want an array of any Java object, you can declare it like this:

Object[] foobar = new Object[5];

(or whatever the size).

If you do not know the size, and you want the array to be dynamic, then use the Vector class.
