Default ITPolicy Groups?

Please Login to Remove!

A fresh install of a BES server (4.1.x) has a number of IT Policy groups listed, eg: "Common Policy Group", "Password Policy Group", etc. It's not terribly difficult to figure out how the itpolicytemplate2 table is setup, however, it is difficult to figure out the 'etiquette' of adding a policy group.

We would like to provide our customers with a custom policy group, instead of dealing with the inevitable typo's associated with manually entering the User Defined IT Policy settings. Direct access to the BES DB is not a concern.

In order to do this, I need to use a unique "Tag" in the schema, so that the code can correctly lookup the IT Policy items.

My questions are:
- Is there anywhere that lists custom tag usage? (I don't want to collide w/ another vendor)
- Is this common at all?
- Is this something a full dev membership would shed light upon?
- Can someone peek inside the bes 5.0 schema to see how much it's changed? (We're waiting on next quarter for the 5.0 test box, and I'd like a compatible solution)
- It appears the BES 5.0 Admin API will help with this situation considerably. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks!
