Default ms visual studio with plugin

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, I am thinking about dabbling in bb app development and did some reading up on the bb website - I am pretty comfortable with coding it's just been a few years.

From what I can tell if I am using ms visual studio with the plugin the ONLY way to load your app is from a BES. Is that correct? It looks as if ms visual uses the mds runtime, which, you need a bb phone with this installed and then you need to push the completed app to that phone via BES. Is this really the case?

If someone could chime in I would appreciate it. I am in no way going to start fooling around with an app if it cant be loaded via DM for the 'regular' person.

Is eclipse with the plugin and jde the only way to go for 'regular' apps?
