Default hello world not running on 4.2

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I just downloaded and installed JDEv4.2, opened up the samples workspace, set HelloWorld as the only active project, and ran it. It compiled fine, and loaded the simulator. When I click on the Hello World, I get a JVM Exception:

Missing resource com.rim.samples.device.resource.HelloWorldRes

Now, i tried googling this and saw stuff about having the right jdk version in the system path. I have both jdk1.5/bin and the jde 4.2/bin in my path.

This could be an amateur question, but thats exactly what I am when it comes to BB dev . Can someone please throw some ideas as to what could be happening here.

Much appreciated.

RIM decided (for some strange reason) to "localize" their "Hello World" sample.

You either need to make sure your project includes the string resource file, or get rid of the localization.

yea you're right, thanks man.

Setting hello world as the only active project is not going to cut it. I set com_rim_bb_resource and com_rim_demores as well and it worked after that.
