Default Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try later

Please Login to Remove!

I am getting the below error when I am trying to connect to a website using the browser on the Blackberry 9630 simulator.

"Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try later."

I have got the MDS service simulator 4.1.2 running in the local machine, along with the proxy configuration.

Are there any additional changes like "Network Properties" or "IT Properties" that need to be changed for the BB browser to work ? Under my Network Properties I am seeing on GSM and CDMA setting. Are these enough to make a connection to MDS service ?

Default

You need to upgrade the MDS-CS to a later version.

I believe that 4.1.5 ships with the 96xx series JDE's.

Default Resolved by fluke

Ok

I was able to resolve the problem by playing around with the settings. It seems if you open the "Network connectivity" settings by clicking on the menu button (the button left of the track wheel button) while on main menu.

The Mobile Network shows as "Fledge Simulated Network". But if you toggle the Network Technology to from Global to any other value and then back to Global the above value gets changed to "Default CDMA Network" and now every thing starts working.
