I am creating an application where i need to show an notification icon (icon similar to new message icon)on the home screen.

Could you please help me with a sample code? Or is there any API which can be used?

Hi,

Have a look at net.rim.device.api.notification.NotificationsManag er - this should give you what you want. Also, in the JDE, there is a NotificationsDemo sample application which you can look through.

The samples directory should be something like C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0\samples - in that directory is samples.jdw which you can open in the JDE.

Actually, it looks like net.rim.blackberry.api.messagelist.ApplicationIndi cator might be better suited to your needs if you want the little icon at the top of the screen
