Default what is the format of the packet written for SMS to the simulator ports?

I would like to write a program that will run on my PC that can send and receive SMS messages to the BlackBerry simulators. The simulators can read and write ports with (what appears) to be UDP datagrams.

What is the format of the data in these packets?

By the way, I'm doing this because I'm having a ton of problems running two simulators on the same computer. Even though they are running from different directories. If I'm running two 8820 simulators, programs I've installed on the simulators disappear from the ribbon and the applications list. I also see that sometimes when running an 8820 and and 8900 simulator, the 8900 gives an error that the "Message queue is full" and then the simulator becomes non-responsive.

So I figure that I could write a program that could just send and receive to a simulator, then I could avoid these simulator conflicts.

Thanks

Have you looked at the SMS demo program that ships with the JDE? It includes a PC-based SMS sender program.

Yes I have. That code only discusses how to write programs that run on the BlackBerry simulators, not how to interpret the packet written to the port by the simulator.

As for the simulator problems - these problems are with the simulators, not my code. The problems occur even when my programs are not running.
