Default Architecture Q: BES in front of .NET web services

Please Login to Remove!

Here's my situation. We have ported an existing iphone app to BB in Java, but honestly not a whole lot of thought was given to the deployment model.

The way the current iphone app works is that it sets up a software VPN and talks to .Net web services.

Since BB cannot do a VPN, we're investigating using the BES platform, due to it's security, etc.

What is the least-development-intensive way to use BES as the front end of existing .NET web services?

In doing so. are there server-side compnents that need to be written (w/o re-writing all of the services themselves in Java)?

Thanks for your thoughtful responses,
DeveloperDave

(one clarifying point, this isn't a central SAAS deploy, but rather each site hosts their own web services on a small server - and users will be accessing their own servers)

If you are absolutely sure that the only access method to your web services
will be from BES then go with MDS.

MDS is an "end-of-life" product and is being discontinued by RIM at the end of the year.

I would strongly discourage starting a new project using this technology.
