Default Check whether an application is running - 10-27-2009, 06:26 AM

Hi all,
Hope you are fine,

I want to test whether an application (which i know its name) is already running (even if it is running in background), how should i do this ?

Press and hold the BlackBerry menu button for a few seconds. You can let go of the button when a popup appears. This popup is the application switcher that shows you all running applications.

EDIT: Damn... sorry. I just realized that this was posted in the developer forum, so my answer isn't what you were looking for.

Did you try ApplicationManager.getVisibleApplications()?

This returns a list of all running apps.
