Default Is there any API to turn on the content protection?

Please Login to Remove!

I am writing an application that provides some security for those users that are not on BES. Once issue I was struck up with is
  1. How do I know if the content protection is turned on, programatically?
  2. If not, how do I turn it on?
I can see that such permissions can be requested by using ApplicationPermissions and ApplicationPermissionsManager. But after such permissions are given by the user, how to actually change the setting.

Thanks,
