Default Browser Javascript getComputedStyle returns auto?

Please Login to Remove!

In most other browsers, the getComputedStyle(el,pseudoel).getPropertyValue function returns a numeric pixel value when called with 'height' or 'width', but the BlackBerry browser instead returns 'auto'. I need this value to do dynamic resizing (mostly a toggle between height:100% and width:100% to preserve the aspect ratio). The image in question sits inside a div inside another div with style='position:fixed;top:0;bottom:0;left:0;right: 0;'.

I'm open to solutions that don't necessarily involve getting the numeric value I'm after, but it does need to properly scale the image to fullscreen. There are other elements in the image's parent div that affect page flow, so the full visible-element height is the sum of the image and two other sibling elements.

Thanks!
