Default Turn off Keyboard light

Hi, just curious is there a function in programming to switch on/off the device keyboard light? I intend to get more battery life when I am reading at night. Thanks!

You may reduce the brightness levels for status & trackball LEDs using the net.rim.device.api.system.LED setConfiguration API.

Also, you can use net.rim.device.api.system.Backlight setBrightness & setTimeout APIs for setting the brightness levels & timeout for backlight.

Hope this helps.
