Silencing inbound MEssage notification
 

I'm trying to silence the inbound message notification programatically. I know you can't change sound profiles programatically, is there a way to trap a specific notification and turn the sound off for it?

You have to detect the delivery of the message and remove it (or possibly mark it read). You can do this by registering a folder listener for the inbox of interest.

You can do this for an email message, but not for an SMS message.

Which type of message are you referring to?
