Default Want a cursor visible for a custom BlackBerry embedded application

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I want to have a cursor visible on the screens for my BlackBerry application.

I understand from few forum posts that its visible for the Browser based applications. If that is the case , then is there any way we could have it for our embedded application?
Do we need to paint it ourself ?If yes, then can you please provide me with some code sample to understand how it would be done?

Would be good to have it for the entire application but currently we wanted to have it for our splash screen which consists of a centrally placed image with a login button image.

The user expects to see the cursor available and use the arrow keys to bring down the focus to the login button.

Would appreciate any quick help/suggestion in this regard.

Thanks..

If you are talking about a "pointer" type of cursor, you have to paint it and manage its position yourself.

Having said that, this is contrary to the normal screen navigation on the Blackberry. The navigation is always field-based - in other words, the focus moves from field to field.
