| LWUIT, BlackBerry 8900 and TextField navigation Please Login to Remove! Hi there
I seem to be having a tough time with my application development on the BlackBerry 8900. I have made a simple screen layout, 2 custom textfields inherited from the LWUIT textfield, and 1 button.
The issue comes in when a user edits the value of the textfield. Once he enters the textfield it seems the user cannot exit it again. Now I am no BlackBerry expert but I have pressed every possible button on the simulator to get out of that textfield. The trackball doesn't really help, it just adds blank spaces to the textfield, not matter which direction I roll it. The default commands (Clear and T9) don't really help either.
Is there some place I have to tell the application to make use of the trackball? Some other way? The app works decently on the BlackBerry 9500, mostly because the user can press any button or control as he pleases, nothing can trap him.
Any feedback is much appreciated.
Regards
W
