Hi All, I am new to Blackberry Devlopment. i am developing an application in J2me which establishes connection with the remote server and sends data as an XML over internet. I tried to establish connect both ways by appending ;deviceside=false and also by appending ;deviceside=true to the URL. By second option it works well on simulator but on real device it do not establish connection. kindly help me, its urgent.....

Hi,

There is a very good sample networking application that attempts to use BES, BIS, TCP, and WAP2 connection methods all in one class. You can check it out at beginningblackberry.com and download the source for chapter 7.

I also highly recommend that book.

";deviceside=true" will require APN information, either set in the device TCP parameters or embedded in the URL. These APN parameters are carrier-specific.
