Default 907 invalid COD. HTTP error 404: not found

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I am very much new to blackberry development. I am using JDE4.7.
Currently I am facing problem while installing the application on my blackberry simulator. Its a simple helloWorld application.

I have .COD file, .jad file and .jar file placed in server(tomcat). I have written a servlet which download the .jad file.

But, when I hit the url of that servlet from my blackberry browser, I get
" 907 invalid COD. HTTP Error 404: file not foud. "

I have made sure that .COD file is not corrupted, Mime type used is correct,
Cod file has no siblings.

Can anyone help me out in this. "how to install an application in BB simulator"

Smile,

Why you are trying to do an over-the-air installation on your simulator?

Make sure that your .jad and .cod files have only alphanumeric characters in them (no spaces, etc).

INspect the JAD and make sure it is not referencing an "obsolete" COD file. This can happen if your project got smaller at some point, requiring fewer cod's.

As a general rule, delete your COD and JAD prior to doing your production build. THis insures that the files are created from scratch and there are no artifacts from earlier compiles.
