Talking SCADA project with blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

hi how you doing guys? currently Im on the last year of highschool, our team is trying to develop a SCADA system (4 data acquisition).

Lets say that we have a machine controled with a PLC or PAC, and the control board is plugged in to a mobile phone test board, this allow us to be in contact with the machine via text messages.

For example if I send a message from the blackberry asking to update the info, the machine receives the message and decode the text and then answers back with the updated info.

Here is where I need your help!!!

Once I received the message, it has to launch automatically an application, something like a GUI, whit all the information from the machine, for instance, voltage, current, power, speed... And from this same application I can turn on-off the engine, fan, lights or whatever device attached to teh control board.

Ive got no idea where to beggin. Ive been thinking on ways to achive this

is it possible to assign a task to a specific phone number? like when you assign a pic to the incomming calls. but instead of that, launching an application?

can someone help me?
what programming lenguage can i use?
any suggestion?

thank you!!
