Question USDA SR-22 Nutrition DB for BB Developer?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

The US Dept of Agriculture publishes a Food Nutrient Database every few years. Currently, the Standard Release version is 22. The database is public and is freely accessible as both an ASCII and MS Access version download
Code:
w w w.ars.usda.gov/Services/docs.htm?docid=18879
Now, I have NO blackberry programming skills and I was wondering if it was possible to create some kind of BB application that is either completely self-contained (ie the DB is built-in to the app) or uses the internet to do DB lookups for this kind of data?

The USDA used to develop a PalmOS application that worked great on my old Palm PDA, and then later on my WM6.1 device with a PalmOS application loader (in an emulated environment). Now that I'm on BB (which I LOVE) I sort of miss having this kind of application. Oh, they also have a PC application
Code:
w w w.ars.usda.gov/Services/docs.htm?docid=5720
Anyone up for the task of making something like this?

Thanks,
Q
