Setting the background colour of an EditField
 

Hi,
I need to set the background colour of an edit field.

When i am using the setbackgroundColor in the paint method of the blackberry it was also changing the text colour of the corresponding editfield's label.

I didn't require the colour of the label field to be changed.

What i require was whatever be the length of the editfield, i require seperate background colour for that much length and also has to change the cursor color also.

Please help me in this aspect.

Try setting the background color in the Manager that holds the field.
