Hi,

I am using JDE4.5 and MDS_CS was working very well but yesterday my system Operating system got crashed, so formatted the system and reinstalled the Operating System. After the Operating System was installed I installed the Java version jdk1.6.0_04 in the system and set the Environmental Variables as Below :-



classpath = C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_04;

JAVA_HOME = C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_04;

path = C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_04\bin;



After setting the Environmental Variables I installed the JDE 4.5 and i ran MDS-CS, Then the MDS-CS just appears and within seconds it disappears itself.........MDS-CS Closes it self within seconds I am having a problem of starting up the MDS simulator. When I tried to run it, a command window popped up but then disappeared......Kindly help in this regards, As can not do anything with out launching the MDS -Cs

Hi i could solve the problem by the solution provided by the user "tingea" in an another thread in which he said to inserting a line in the run.batch :-

i.e is in the run.batch File located in "C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.5.0\MDS"

insert the First Line as

set JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_12

Note : if your java is located in different location then you should mention that location....
By including the first line as above i could launch the MDS sucessfully........
But before this I reinstalled the Java in different location other than ProgramFiles and in the Environment Variables My Computer->Properties->Advanced Tab->Environmental Variables Button i set the path System Varables as below...

classpath = C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_04;

JAVA_HOME = C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_04;

path = C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_04\bin;
