Default Network usage per application

hi All:

I am trying to write an application that would keep a record of network usage for each installed application. I am not able to get any start on this project/ any apis that will be helpful ,etc..

I am a total newbie in blackberry software developement.

Please suggest something for me to start off.

You will need to come up with some magic, since the BB API does not expose this information to you on a per-application basis.
