Default XML parser doesnt fundtion properly with & sign

hi all

im using parser on xml file but for some reason im not getting the correct answer meaning :

><entry><entryName>Om&amp;om</entryName><phoneNumber>5555555</phoneNumber></entry>

this is what i get from the server but when i present the name im geeting it cut in the middle. "om" instead of "Om&om".

so the problem is in my parsing and not in the way im getting it from the server.

does anyone know why it can be?...

You should be able to provide an EntityResolver for your Handler to resolve these HTML entities into the appropriate text character.

Actually, my memory is faulty. EntityResolver does not do this for you.
