Default Common download size limits in MDS/BIS

Please Login to Remove!

I'm working on a tool for creating mobile web content and I'm trying to make it more BlackBerry compatible.

This tool merges multiple image and script files in order to reduce the number of requests that have to be made over the network. This sometimes triggers the "Request Entity Too Large" error.

Does anyone know what percentage of BB users can I expect to be accessing the web through services which limit download sizes to less than 1 MB? The BB simulator that I'm testing things on has this value set to 256KB. Is this still a common limit for actual devices?

Default

BES sets the limit to 256K by default, although this can be changed by the admin.

BIS limits it to 90K, I believe.
