Default HttpConnection using apn url parameter

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All

I need to create a http connection and specify a APN with username and password.

I cannot use BIS or MDS and I need to load images and text.

The code I use is :

hpc = (HttpConnection) Connector.open(url + ":8080;deviceside=true;apn=internet;tunnelauthuser name=username;tunnelauthpassword=password;")

This works on the simulator but not on the device.

I see there is a lot of Threads on this topic but no solutions.

Is this possible use a HttpConnection (Not StreamConnection or Socket connection) ?
How?

Please help.

These APN parameters are carrier-specific - are these the correct parameters for *your* carrier?

Thanks for your Reply

Yes they are, I have tested this by changing the APN setting on the device and removing the parameters and it works.
