I need to access blackberry frame buffer (dispaly RAM) for my application.
I need to copy the frame buffer content and tranfer it.
Is there any MIDP or BB lib class or EGL class available for this?
Please provide me the details about frame buffer access.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I found DirectGraphics class (getPixels method) used for this purpose in Nokia phones. But this calss is provided by nokia specific com.nokia.mid.ui.
I am looking for similar kind of class (either MIDP or BB specific) for BB devices.
Any info?

You can not access the frame buffer directly. There is the net.rim.device.api.system.Display.screenshot() methods if that helps.

Hi,
I found net.rim.device.api.system.Display useful for my requirement.
Thank you.

Info: This API (net.rim.device.api.system.Display.screenshot()) is signed and needs keys from black berry if you are going to use it on device. However, you can use it on emulator without any restriction.
