Developing applications for BlackBerry
Please Login to Remove!
Hello all,
I have been in BES administrations for 6 years now and I don't feel I can progress further. I can be good at BES admin but don't think I made progress when it comes to Windows and networking stuff due to BES specialization only.
I was a Domino developer previously mainly doing Notes/Domino application development. And I am contempleting venturing into the BlackBerry application development. I understand that BlackBerry devices are Java-based and the applications are created using Java (correct me if I'm wrong). I do not have Java programming knowledge and I understand that I need to learn Java basics first, but again I have seen so many flavours of Java e.g. applets, JSP, J2EE, JBeans etc. and I am really confused.
Could someone advise me how/what/where should I start if I want to venture into the possibility of developing myself as a BlackBerry developer? Many thanks in advance for all valuable input!
