I have tried to implement the "Building a notification-enabled web service using .NET " example in the appendices with MDS Studio. I have attempted web service implementations using both VS 2003 and VS 2005 with no change.
There are several steps that are unclear so I've had to do some guesswork. When I create the MDS application I choose the NewBooks.wsdl file and not an actual web service which seems strange to me, but after following the instructions, my web service does not publish the "notify" method so I can't reference it directly. After having set the notify method as a notification I then try to launch the tester. Every time, I get the exact same message, i.e.:
"Error installing application research_in_motion.com/mobile: null" (my application is called mobile)
Anyone have any idea what would cause this?
Further, does anyone out their have the source files for this (or any other .NET notification enabled web service) example as I have been unable to find them anywhere in the vicinity of the URL specified in MDS help.
