adding mail message to inbox -

Hello All !
I am able to create a message and add it to inbox, but when i open the message and then open the menu, i get the compose new mail menu popping up which has "send" option in it, rather than the menu which pops up when i open a regular email. Any ideas?
Your help is greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance for your help.
