Default SDK 7 with Curve 8520

I get a Curve 8520 (v 4.6.286, platform and I would like to develop an application running on the Blackberry and gathering data from a remote device (via the Bluetooth connection). These data are to be used for some simple calculus and displayed, and stored on the memory card of the Blackberry.
So I wonder if the SDK 7 would work to do that or if I have to find an older version of the SDK ?
I'll save time if I can have an answer before installing all the environment and begining to program !

Many thanks

Default Re: SDK 7 with Curve 8520

Your SDK version must be <= the OS level on the target device.

In your case, you'll need 4.6
