Events are not organized by time zone.

The event stores the time/date in UTC format, "zulu" time (time zone 0)

The calendar displays the event based on the current timezone setting in the device.

So, if you add an event to the calendar whild you are in London, for 6 AM, then fly to New York, the calendar will display the event as 11 AM (once you reset the timezone to EST).

Might I suggest that you review the javadocs and the sample programs that ship with the dev tools?
