Exclamation Blackberry java plugin

Hi there ,

hopefully I am writting in the right place to get my answer , actually I wanted to start a project which is Unint converter + GPA calculator , so I strated doing that , and I have designed the initial screens , but what I wanted is How to add command to the button to perform an opreation between 3 text field addion , mul, divsion... and show the result in the third text field .

I attached a picture which will make my idea more clear to you he design in the attachments ,
I appreciate any little help from you .

Typically, you add a field change listener to the button(s).

See the javadocs.

I wish its as simple as that , but yet I am not able to get to my point .

its simple " connect a button to text field " , my friend suggested the same solution as you but yet I not getting what I want .

I would be grateful if you help much more .

Well, with the information you have provided, I would have said the same thing as Doug. So three to one, you need to provide more information in your question.

and guess what , I am doing my degree in Computer science and engineering , but java course was my first course since I have got my credit transferred from diploma program.

I have gone through C++ which is a nightmare , and believe me I was in love with Visual basic .

Did you look at the samples that ship with your dev tools? I'm pretty sure there is a demo "GPACalc" somewhere that calculates your grade point average when you press a button.

Also see this thread, and please learn to use the Search button on the forum.
