first we get the installed version:
Code:
ApplicationDescriptor myDescriptor = ApplicationDescriptor.currentApplicationDescriptor();
my_Version=myDescriptor.getVersion();
then we load a jad-file and parse it to compare it.

hth,
simon

How do you load the JAD file to continue parsing it and compare?

You can do it differently:

When you create .rapc file, you can define your properties in MIDlet-1 string:

MIDlet-1: YourAppName, logo.png, param1=value1 param2=value2

After this you will be able to read your properties from array which is passed by OS to your main(String[] args) method
