How to load google maps to the 7250 Simulator

Hi all,

I have obtained Google Map API key from the Google.
And then I have created a simple web page to load google map.
It works fine in all the browsers.

Then I have tried to load that page from my Blackberry simulators.
But it didn't show the map.
I have enables Javascript and CSS on the browser. And works fine.
I load the the map between two texts.
Both text showed in the simulator.
But map is missing. (I have changed the Map width and height according to the simulator screen.) :oops:

So it is appreciated if somebody tell me how to load google map from the simulator.
I'm waiting for a quick replies.

Where is the page located?
Is it in you machine? (wwwroot etc)

Or else directly from google?

Hi Upul,

Yes. I have obtained Google Map API key for the localhost.
The page which I have accessed through IE & Blackberry browser is reside in the localhost. (IIS)
But it successed in IE browser. But in Blackberry browser map is missing.
Do you know how to fix it.

map means a still image? or dynamic image?
Can u replace Map with new test image (.jepg) and try it.

Actually I dont have more idea about google map
Anyway u can browse images via BB browser.

try to narrow it down, create a static page with an image in localhost and try and access that from the bb browser, if there's no problem there it'd suggest a javascript problem. the bb browser java implementation is going to be quite a bit different from a normal computer web browser so you may have to look into that.

Thanks for the replies.
As you said I have load images from the site with google maps and MS Virtual Earth. (I have used png files. Gif files didn't work)
But in my machine IE browser showed both images and map.
But not in Blackberry browser. Map is missing.
Can somebody help me to load Map from the Blackberry Browser?

What is the size of MAP?
What is the file format of MAP?
And replace map with another pic and try to load.

looks like there is no errors in ur code.

I'm looking for a simulator for the BB 7250 for demonstration purposes. I'd have downloaded and installed JDE Component Package 4.2.0 but not have been successful getting the simulator running.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
