yes, the jde can create and edit the resource files, if you go to blackberry.com > developers > downloads you'll see two files to download:

# BlackBerry Application Developer Guide v4.2 - Volume 1: Fundamentals
# BlackBerry Application Developer Guide v4.2 - Volume 2: Advanced Topics

both are essential if you're developing for blackberry and you'll save yourself a lot of hard work if you study these.

I have read that guides - but that does not explain the IDE usage - there is an option in 'Build'->'Generate Makefile and Resources' - I use it - but I dont know where they are getting generated?

Is there a startup program like we have 'PalmTrafasi sample' for Palm to get started - everytime to start a project - we copy that sample project and start it - modify and code it to our needs. Pls help.

I am a Netbeans user - if there is a way to use NetBeans for BB dev - that would be great and save many of my efforts as I am already used to that env.
