Default HTTP Push only with GPRS?

Please Login to Remove!

I implmented a notification listener on my device to push notifications to it. It works fine. I noticed that pushes are only received when the device is connected to a GPRS network. When it is connected to GMS the device doesn't response on the push.

For my understanding there shouldn't be any difference. Both networks transport data - the data I send is not to much for a GSM network.

Your understanding is not correct. GPRS is data transfer protocol over GSM voice network.

did a quick search in KB maybe it explains how wireless coverage indicator works:

Status displayed on the wireless coverage indicator is GSM instead of GPRS

Network coverage indicator displays gprs or edge
