Exclamation Problem with the Determination of RIM OS in Actual BlackBerry device !

Please Login to Remove!

Hi friends,

I have a problem related with the determination of RIM OS

I am able to determine while using simulator(using both the functions DeviceInfo.getPlatformVersion() and DeviceInfo.getOSVersion()), But on the actual device it is returning nothing what will be the solution to find the RIM OS version on the actual device ?

Thanks In Advance
Anand.

it's a deprecated method and is not supported.

DeviceInfo.getOSVersion() is deprecated, but DeviceInfo.getPlatformVersion() - is not, so you can use it. It works fine for me.
Also you can use DeviceInfo.isSimulator() to determine if your app is running on simulator or actual device.

I have found an alternative way.

This one is the best way to identify the RIM version inside actual device.

Please follow the link given to see how I resolved ?
