Application - Flickering "CLOSE"

Hello,

I have created a blackberry application and after a few seconds the screen goes off (powersaving). And when I press the pearl key there appears a flickering "CLOSE" on the top right. I was wondering if there is any BLackberry API calls I can do to dissable this feature?

I know u can set the time it takes to shut off the backlight to be 255 seconds but i would like another solution.
