Default Best application architecture

I was playing around with the MDS Studio to create applications from web services. I don't like the idea too much to program appilciations by a wizard based tool like the MDS Studio. I think you will reach it's limit as soon as you develope more complex applications.

So my question is, what is the best way to develpe BB applications? I figured out the following options. Database access is requiered.

a) JDE + servlet
b) JDE + web service
c) MDS Studio + web service

I am most skilled in servlets. I already implemented a simple app to exchange data. So this seems for me the best solution.
On the other hand I like to create webservices, so I can do most of the programming on the database. But I don't know how to access the webservice by the JDE. I read something about ksoap ...

Thanks in advance.

you're correct, for more complex applications the mds studio won't be good enough so go with a or b.
