Lightbulb best file to view on Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

1. *.pdf is not that great; have to send to RepliGo or DocHawk to convert
2. html table; some work, some doesn't
3. image; have to make it big in order to see and scroll left and right

what is the best file to use on Blackberry?

This depends on how important to your application it is to keep the original layout of the document. If it is crucial to your app, I would suggest using images, which is the method used by some commercial products. Since most documents have mostly white backgrounds, compression techniques achieve quite good results. Also, since most documents are layed out using a letter or din a4 format, you can get a reasonably small image representation of a page that is readable enough. In our own solution we use a simple scheme to calculate the size of the resulting image for a page of the document: take the largest side (either the width or the height) of the document and make it twice as big as the corresponding size of the screen of the device. With that rule we can generate readable images in 90% of the cases that are small.
