| code signatures - need general info Please Login to Remove! I need a quick tutorial on code signatures fundamentals. This is new to me, don't really understand it... I've written a few small BB apps so far, strictly UI, no connectivity functionality yet, and haven't needed to use any of the restricted access classes yet.
When I load my apps onto the BB, I see a "CMM: {app name}(1525) no sig from 0x545252" and a "CMM: {app name}(1542) no sig from 0x33" message logged in the event log. I would guess that's telling me the code isn't signed, but that would be advisory only, since there's no signature required. Yes? Is there any way to get rid of this event message?
When I get to the point of needing signed code, do I need to pay RIM to register for code signing?
