Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to push an icon to the home screen of my Blackberry 8700 device (for proof of concept at this stage).

The push works fine (succeeds), but no icon appears on the home screen. Instead, the push appears in the bookmarks section of my BES browser. The other types of push work correctly... But I can't get the icon to appear with this one ("Browser-Channel").

I even tried specifying icon paths (although this isn't strictly required according to the doco).

Any ideas?

Hi Cohertz,

I use the Browser-Channel Push and the icon shows up in the Applications folder. If you don't provide an icon, the BB provides a generic one for you.

The Browser-Channels have their own "folder" in the Bookmarks, so they don't get mixed in with any bookmarks the user may have added. I've also learned that the only way to remove a Browser-Channel push is to delete it from the bookmarks (for some reason I've never been able to issue the delete from the server like you are supposed to do).

fbrimm: any luck on the browser channel delete? I can't seem to get it to work either.
