Default Compile error - package not found

(Note: I also posted this in the Aftermarket forum, but it probably belongs here)
I'm new to this forum, and also to development for Blackberry. I am working in a development environment (SalesLogix) that provides an out-of-the-box customized system. When compiling the system, I receive many compiler errors of this type: "package net.rim.blackberry.api.invoke does not exist".

Clearly, the compiler is looking in the wrong place for the package, since it does exist. I have installed the BlackBerry JDE 4.2.1 and Java SDK 1.5.0_11. Is there an environment variable or something that I need to update, in order for the compile to work? Thanks.

That api requires a Rim signing key which you have to purchase for $100. There is a preference in the JDE under the code signing tab that requires you to choose whether to allow signed api's. Possibly that's your problem.....

signing cannot affect compilation stage, since you can sign your application only AFTER you compile it to class files and compile cod file from class files.

your classpath should contain reference to c:\program files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.2.1\lib\net_rim_api.jar
I don't know what is SalesLogix, so I don't know where to customize it.
