Default comm loss because of net.rim.udp?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello.

I've been working on app that generates a fair amount of HTTP traffic. Every once in a while, outbound communication stops. The blackberry does not lock up, however my application can no longer send data.

After looking through the event logs that past few times this has happened, I'm noticing net.rim.udp entries with a severity of 3.

Since my application only generates HTTP traffic, I do not believe it should anything to do with UDP. Maybe a different application is breaking communication?

Here is my event log:

I've tried to searching for GUIDs 0xF47344AFA3BD34D8 and 0xE8C5006FD91C5EBD but have come up with nothing.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

Thanks,

Default

The net.rim.udp messages are in the event log because that's how the BlackBerry communicates with the network; it converts TCP into UDP for latency reasons.

As for the HTTP problem you're having, I'm not too sure. Though I would recommend checking that you're definitely closing all your connections, input and output streams etc. in all conditions (e.g. when errors occur).
