hi,
the original editfiled has the inputfield on the right side. now i want to have the input area on the left side an the "caption" of the editfield on the right.

i also want to paint a litte image on the editfield.

i tried a horizontalFieldManager, but i can't set a label or a Graphics to the right of the editField, so now i want to draw on the editfield directly an switch the sides of caption and inputfield. is this possible?

I had similar requirement and tried something like this:

I kept the label of editfield "",instead created new LabelField and placed it after the editfield on a horizontalfieldmanager. Similarly u could try to add a seperate bitmapfield on a horizontalfieldmanager.
