Default How to get the root file system for 8100?

Please Login to Remove!

I would like to get the default ringtones for 8100, which are located in Media/Ringtones/Preloaded Media....i want to make a file connection to this directory to get this ringtones...i tried this piece of code:

FileConnection fc = (FileConnection) Connector.open("file:///store/Device Memory/samples/ringtones/Preloaded Media/");

is it ok?

hmm, i think 'Device Memory' is the human readable version of '/home/user', i could be wrong but i think the uri should be something like:

"file:///store/home/user/samples/ringtones/"

not sure how the preloaded media is set up though

[edit - just checked with my own file explorer app and it seem the pre-installed files are kept at: file:///store/samples/ringtones/ - at least they are on the 8800 i'm looking at]

yes, you are right...I found the path...for 8100 the ringtones are here: "file:///store/samples/ringtones/"....thank you....now i should play them on my application....
